On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Korean Society for Food Science of Animal Resources and National Institute of Animal Science, you are cordially invited to attend the 56th International Congress of Meat Science and Technology to be held in Jeju Island, in the Republic of Korea, August 15-20, 2010.
We are pleased to invite you and accompanying persons to Jeju Island an exotic part of Korea, which has long been known as "The Land of Morning Calm". Congress venue, the Jeju International Convention Center (Jeju ICC) is the most prestigious place in Korea. Jeju Island, formed long ago by volcanic eruption, has magnificent scenery with the baseline landscape of marvelous stone formations, volcanic humps, craters and caves, and extensive meadows. It is called the "Paradise of Asia", and has been nominated by the UNESCO as the World Natural Heritage Site.
We will do our best to assure you all that the 56th ICoMST will leave unforgettable memories not only in terms of meat science and technology but also tourist attractions. Plan now to attend the ICoMST 2010 to learn about the latest developments in meat science and innovative technologies, and to discuss international issues which impact the future of meat. "Meeting of the East and West in Meat Science and Culture" is the main theme of this congress.
It has been estimated that the ICoMST 2010 will attract more than 1,000 scientists and students from academia, industries, and governments representing over 50 countries. There will be 27 invited keynote speeches by outstanding international experts and 18 oral presentations selected from contributed short papers. Over 700 research posters are expected in what will be the world’s largest gathering of meat scientists. The congress will be the time and place for global harmony for the international meat science community.
We will make every effort to be sure that your participation is rewarding and fruitful. Both participants and accompanying persons will have an opportunity to discover the beauty and ancient history of Korea by participating in exceptional social and accompanying person's program. We are planning to lighten your financial burden, hoping you decide to participate in the ICoMST 2010 and seize the opportunity to visit the Paradise of Asia. We look forward to welcoming you at the 56th ICoMST in Jeju Island, Korea.
